inspiring times...
half term and more shenanigans!!
well ive had a glorious break from college and bristol! Went back to wiltshire for some essential country time and blissful views. Some much needed shire therapy. Leaving my monitor speakers in Bristol has made the week slightly painful, though on the upside my new monitors and akai apc 40 controller are literally just around the corner!
And im really looking...

new news and stuff....
Its been a little while since ive posted on here, been mentally busy gettin used to my college timetable and had a few gigs as well. Im quickly getting used to living in Bristol and my college course, so im really pleased. Im running logic now on my laptop, so im looking forward to getting to know the feel of it more and more, ive been very impressed with what ive seen so far! Im at one of the AFW...

first week in bristol...
i arrived in bristol on tuesday. the drive down was a blast and me and my friend david arrived with no problems. my lovely new housemates helped me move my stuff in and i was officially now a resident of the house! its taken me a few days to get my stuff in order and i had to track down a free computer desk on gumtree - which was a success this morning. so i no longer have to get a hunchback to...

an interesting week...
this week i have been in bristol, looking for a room, so that i have a base for my college course next year at http://www.accesstomusic.co.uk/centres/bristol/ - literally cant wait! i really like bristol and its nice to spend more time here and get to know it a little better. ive been missing the music though, and more time gettin to know reaper, but i guess some distance is good. i will post up...

macbook power adaptor failure 3 weeks after...
i am apalled at my bad luck. I love my mac and have cared for her dearly so far. This morning i unplugged my adaptor because the battery was fully charged and when it had run down the adaptor refused to work. i tested the fuse, and alas fail the adaptor was broken. Lukily i have enough battery to write this blog before i return to the apple shop to replace the broken one. At least its better than...

not what i expected!
i think my first couple of weeks in macland has gone quite well. two gigs done, one corrupted version of ableton to deal with, will it let me finish the projects i like. i like the interface now its grand. Has anyone used reaper at all, im just gettin into it. they do the sensible thing of not crippling ur computer if u havent got a valid license key! how human… lol

gigs, loosing and refinding controllers
found a fantastic sample earlier from an american cotton picking song from the 1940s. cant wait to start working with it! i can feel it being something special i love that feeling when it happpens and try and respect it as much as possible. the gig went well up in london, considering i left my midi controller at bedwyn station, i am thankful for a speedy recovery! so i think with just the tractor...

this is the very last piece of creative work that took place on my old pc. this week has been like that very much for me, clearing out the old and bringing in the new. im excited for the future and for the future music again. gigging tonight up in london at the ginglik in shepherds bush, should be good times!

new week new changes
ive been excited by the changes this week. im on a new laptop and still finding my way but im liking the feel so far. no serious music yet, but have been sorting out my dj set for ableton. familarity is the key i think! looking forward to gettin back on the gigs, be good to back in that zone. and then next week, tunes!!
