In 2008, Finnish Electro-pop minx, HK119, released her second solo album of infectious glossy, I-Monster co-produced electro-pop, ‘Fast Cheap And Out Of Control’.

Following the release, HK threw open a window of opportunity to the world in the form of a remix challenge;  An idea to release a version 2.0 of the album for 2009, to which Bit-Phalanx accepted the challenge of.

Having managed some of the UKs finest unsigned electronic recording & performing artists since 2005, Bit-Phalanx has relaunched itself as a new Net-Label for the electronic scene for 2009. With this unique remix challenge, Bit-Phalanx has been given the ideal launching pad, as well a unique opportunity to take HK119 on a delightful detour into the many realms of the electronic scene.

The resulting album, HK119 vs. Bit-Phalanx - ‘Fast And Cheap Mixes’ takes HK119 deep into everything from Glitch, Dubstep, Acid, Classic IDM, Electro, Ambience and beyond. No electronic stone is left unturned, as the troops of Bit-Phalanx deliver something for everyone with some truly mind blowing and unique interpretations of HK’s messages for humanity. The album will be released digitally through One Little Indian Records on Monday 14th December 2009.

Aside from the album, Bit-Phalanx has taken the opportunity to invite even more guest artists on board to remix ‘Fast, Cheap And Out Of Control’s original lead single, ‘C’est La Vie’ for an additional release. Bit-Phalanx will be releasing a ‘C’est La Vie’ as a FREE 7 track bonus EP, and will feature more remixes from Mr O, T-toe and Martin Phone, as well as some new associates of ours. Jash (AFW) takes sadistic pleasure in slowly grinding the original into a pulp. While else where, we add a certain Je Nais Se Quoi with three French artists taking up the rest of the EP. Topher adds a somewhat filthy, dark dubstep assault, while K21 twists things up with an epic, orchestral trip-hop vibe. Finally, we have brand new Bit-Phalanx signee, Douce Angoisse, who turns the original into an infections electro-clash duet.
